I went to Mount Kisco not really knowing what to expect.  I was anxious and excited all at the same time.  This was going to be my daughter, Robyn’s, first encounter with the Glover side of the family in I don’t know how many years.  What a blast!  It was the adult version of our old family reunions.  Albeit, we’re a lot slower… there was no tree climbing… missed the pickup softball game… probably just a well.

I’m a little sad as well.  Such wonderful people and so much time gone by.  I’m sorry we weren’t able to stay in touch.  I spent most of the time talking and not much time taking pictures.  I’ve posted anything that was recognizable.  I encourage everyone to post their favorites.

Two special thanks… To Karen and Bob for pulling this all together.  Over the years you’ve managed to keep in touch with all of us.  Thank you!  To Phil for putting this site together.  This is a great opportunity for us to stay in touch.  Post your your pictures.  Use the calendar for birthdays and special events.  Post comments/reflections when you want to share something important in your life.

Family Reunion, ‘08

This site was created for the sole purpose of collecting your pictures so I can look at them.  Yep, that’s right baby, I want your pictures.   To entice you to do so, I have also provided a few other features to, well, keep us connected.  After all, we are family.  What enticements you say?  I’m still thinking about it.  Maybe a community calender for birthdays, document sharing, this message board, or blog, as the kids call it these days, and most importantly (for me anyway), a place to share our pictures (notice the use of the word “our”).

Seriously, I was not able to attend the reunion event hosted by Karen and Bob last weekend.  I knew I would regret it, but I underestimated.  I missed a great opportunity to connect, and reconnect, with gods specially chosen members of our extended family (particularly, with Vincent and Enid’s brood).  So, help me out.  Share your photo’s, family news, birthdays, history, and maybe I can get over it.  I’ll start the ball rolling with a few of my favorites.

Look to the sidebars for instructions on how to post your photos, notes, docs, news, and all that.
